What a special moment for our school and community! We had the incredible opportunity to open a time capsule that was buried back in the year 2000—and it was truly a walk down memory lane. Inside were items that sparked laughter, nostalgia, and wonderful conversations as we reflected on how much has changed over the past 25 years. We were thrilled to welcome members of our community, along with former students and staff, who joined us for this meaningful event. Seeing generations come together to share memories and stories made the day even more memorable.

A special thank you goes to Mr. Chris Wilson for digging up the time capsule, Mrs. Fetters for organizing the event and creating the wonderful displays, and to our Time Capsule Staff Member Group for all of their hard work behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this such a memorable celebration of our school’s history and community spirit!

⭐👏 Brag Board Shout-Out! 👏⭐

We love celebrating our students at Dwight Elementary—especially our Brag Board Signers!

When teachers and staff catch students doing great things—showing kindness, working hard, helping others, or making smart choices—they write them a brag! 📝✨ Once a student earns a brag, they get to add their name to our Brag Board for everyone to see!

We are so proud of these students for making positive choices and setting a great example for others. Keep up the amazing work—your Dwight family is cheering you on! 💙🌪️🎉

💙 Building Community Through Capturing Kids’ Hearts 💙

At our school, we believe in creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for every student. One way we do this is through Capturing Kids’ Hearts Social Contracts. A social contract is a shared agreement created by students that describes how we want to treat one another and how we want to feel at school. It helps guide positive behavior, strong relationships, and a sense of belonging in every classroom.

Over the past several weeks, our student ambassadors met regularly to carefully review and analyze each classroom’s social contract. Through thoughtful discussion and collaboration, they combined these ideas into one unified, school-wide social contract that represents the voices and values of our entire school community.

Last Friday, we proudly unveiled our new school-wide social contract during a student-led assembly, led by our ambassadors. Their leadership, teamwork, and commitment to creating a positive school culture truly shined!

We are so proud of our ambassadors and all of our students for helping make our school a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected. 💙✨
