⭐ ATTENDANCE REWARDS BEGIN! ⭐
Starting September 1st, attendance will begin counting toward our new Attendance Rewards! 🎉
Let’s make September a great one! 🌟

We want to remind our families about the Russellville School District Attendance Policy and, most importantly, why being at school every day matters!
When students are in school, they have more opportunities to learn, grow, build friendships, and achieve their goals. Even missing a few minutes or days can add up and impact a student’s learning.
🏫 School begins at 7:50 AM!
⏰ Please help your child arrive on time and stay for the full instructional day whenever possible.
We also want to make attendance something our students can celebrate! 🎉 This year, Dwight Elementary is kicking off 3 AWESOME ATTENDANCE INCENTIVES:
⭐ No Tardy Party – Students with no tardies or early check-outs at the end of each quarter will earn a special reward party!
🎟️ Monthly Drawing – Students with NO unexcused absences will be entered into a monthly drawing for a special reward from our amazing community partners!
🏆 Class Competition – Classes with all students present will earn points throughout the semester. The class with the most points will get to SILLY STRING THEIR TEACHER! 😂🎉
Our goal is simple:
Be Here. Be On Time. Be Awesome!
Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. Together, we can help our students make the most of every school day! ❤️🖤

We are SO excited to introduce our new Book Vending Machine at Dwight Elementary! 📖✨
A huge THANK YOU to the Junior Auxiliary of Russellville for their incredibly generous donation! ❤️ Your support is helping us put the joy of reading directly into the hands of our students.
From now on, when our students celebrate a birthday at school, they will receive a special token to use in our book vending machine. They can choose a book of their very own to take home and enjoy! 🎟️📚
What better way to celebrate a birthday than with the gift of reading? ❤️📖
We are so grateful to the Junior Auxiliary of Russellville for helping us create this special experience for our students. We can't wait to see the excitement on their faces as they choose their birthday books! 🎂🎁📚
Thank you for helping us grow readers at Dwight Elementary! ❤️🖤🤍

We have had a great start to the school year! Thank you for helping us get our mornings off to a smooth start. ❤️
Just a quick reminder about our morning arrival times:
7:50 AM – The bell rings and our duty teachers come inside as we begin our school day.
7:50–8:00 AM – Students may get out of the car and walk to the front entrance. A staff member will be in the hallway to let students into the building.
8:00 AM – The tardy bell rings. After 8:00, a parent/guardian will need to come into the office to sign their child in.
Thank you for helping us start each day on time and ready to learn! We appreciate your support and are excited about the great year ahead!
Dear Dwight Families,
We are excited to welcome our students back on Monday! Here are a few important reminders to help our first day of school run smoothly:
Morning Arrival
-School begins at 7:50 a.m.
-Staff will be out front to greet students and help them get where they need to go.
-Please come through the drop-off line and remain in your car. Students will get out and enter through the front doors.
-Kindergarten students will go to the music room. Kindergarten parents may park in a parking spot and walk their child to the music room on the first day only.
-All other students will go to the playground. Parents may not walk students to the playground or classrooms.
Afternoon Dismissal
-Please do not check your child out early to beat the car rider line. Early checkouts create extra confusion as we prepare all students for dismissal. Safety is our top priority.
-Have your pickup tag visible, even if we know you. This applies to car riders, PreK Walkers, and Walkers.
-Car riders: Please remain in your car so the line can continue to flow. Pull forward to the next colored cone, and a staff member will make sure your child gets into your car safely.
Dismissal Times
Walkers – 3:00 p.m.
Car Riders – 3:10 p.m.
Bus Riders – 3:20 p.m.
Thank you for helping us make the first day safe, smooth, and exciting for our students! We can't wait to see everyone!
Be sure to check out your school schedule before Monday so you’re ready to go! 📅
⚠️ REMINDER: There will be NO Smart Start on Monday this year. Students will report according to their regular school schedule.
We can’t wait to see everyone back! ❤️
Welcome back, Cyclones! 🌪️

We are excited to share a wonderful Back-to-School Bash & Backpack Buffet happening this Friday, August 14th, at Wesley United Methodist Church on Cumberland!
📚 What’s a Backpack Buffet?
Students will receive a FREE backpack and then get to “shop” through a buffet-style setup to fill their backpacks with school supplies! Volunteers from our community will be there to help students, encourage them, and make this a fun and meaningful experience. 💕
🍽️ Dinner will also be provided!
This event is open to all families in our community, and we would love to see our Dwight families there! Come enjoy an evening of fun, fellowship, encouragement, and community connection as we get ready for a new school year. 🖤❤️

After teaching Kindergarten last year, she's making the move to 2nd grade, and we're excited to see the impact she'll have on another group of Lil Cyclones!

Mrs. Rose joins us from another school within the Russellville School District, bringing valuable classroom teaching experience, a passion for helping students grow, and a heart for kids. We are excited for the knowledge, care, and dedication she will bring to our students and staff.
